Reducing our Impact.
Many of us recycle a multitude of items but flowers are often overlooked. At ReFlowering we’d like to change that.
Flowers.
After an event, come Monday morning do you wish you had a use or home for all of those flowers? Many used flowers and days old flowers are still in good condition. Rather than throwing them into the trash, let ReFlowering extend their life and turn them into something beautiful.
You don’t have to do anything except get in touch with us. ReFlowering will pick-up your flowers and/or hard goods as is. All donations are tax-deductible.
Donations.
Your gently used flowers will be remade into small, personal sized arrangements that will be donated to organizations and individuals in our community.
To keep our goal of repurposing going full circle, we offer a post-donation pick up service to the organizations we work with. If you wish, we will pick-up the donated vases and reuse them for future donations.
Disposal.
We often don’t know the pesticide status of the flowers we receive. Because of this we can not compost floral scraps or dead flowers. Flowers that we can guarantee are pesticide free will be composted. We are diligently looking for resources on how we can best dispose of non-compostable flowers in an environmentally friendly way.
Any hard goods we receive - containers, wire, floral pillows, ribbon - will be reused. Oasis can not be reused so it will be discarded.
